The EPA has recently announced the designation of one new equivalent method for measuring pollutant concentrations of ozone.
In compliance with 40 CFR Part 53, entitled Ambient Air Monitoring Reference and Equivalent Methods, which was amended on June 22, 2010, the EPA regularly assesses a wide array of methods that are generally used to observe the concentrations of various air pollutants.
In order to improve the measurement of ozone (03) concentrations in the air, while also reducing the various types of pollutants that are mentioned in the agency's National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQSs), the EPA has lately announced its approval of a recently developed, innovative 03 monitoring method device.
The novel 03 device will use a measurement principle that is primarily based on the chemiluminescence reaction of 03 with nitric oxide (NO).
