The EPA has just issued an advanced notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) in order to receive public comments on an approach it has designed to periodically evaluate the new source performance standards (NSPS) program.
All public comments must be received on or before Nov. 23, 2011.
The EPA has issued an advanced notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) in order to receive public comments on an anticipated approach that was released by the agency last January.
The proposed approach, entitled Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review, will periodically evaluate the new source performance standards (NSPS) program.
The approach, which was issued on Jan. 18, 2011, will ultimately provide the EPA with an efficient process to ensure the effectiveness of the NSPS program. Through this approach, the EPA can review and, if needed, revise the NSPS program every eight years or more.
As a result, the EPA is currently asking for public comments in regards to the overall approach that should be utilized to properly manage the NSPS program.
