The EPA's Science Advisory Board (SAB) Staff Office has recently announced that a public teleconference will soon occur in order to review a draft of an SAB report entitled, Considerations Related to Post-Closure Monitoring of Uranium In-Situ ISL/ISR Sites.

The teleconference was implemented after the EPA's Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) sought advice from the SAB regarding the agency's review of its regulatory standards in 40 CFR Part 192 - Health and Environmental Protection Standards for Uranium and Thorium Mill Tailings, especially in regards to underground In-Situ Leach Recovery (ISL/ISR) facilities.
