The EPA has recently proposed amendments to the national emissions standards for hazardous air pollutants for Primary Aluminum Reduction Plants.
The EPA must receive all public comments, in regards to the amendments, by Jan. 20, 2012.
The EPA has lately proposed amendments to the national emissions standards for hazardous air pollutants for Primary Aluminum Reduction Plants.
Upon finalization, the amendments will likely, among other tasks, address emissions that have not yet been regulated; remove the current vertical stud Soderberg one (VSS1) potline subcategory; and decrease the total amount of MACT limits for polycyclic organic matter (POM) emissions from horizontal stud Soderberg (HSS) and VSS2 potlines.
The EPA must acquire all public comments, in regards to the amendments, by Jan. 20, 2012.
Also, a public hearing will be held on Dec. 21, 2011, as long as the EPA receives requests by Dec. 16, 2011.
