The agency's final action is effective as of Jan. 5, 2012.
The EPA has lately finalized its residual risk and technology review regarding the National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants From Secondary Lead Smelting rule.
The final rule will include a variety of revisions, such as modifications to the emissions limits for lead compounds, the standards for fugitive emissions and all regulatory provisions that are related to emissions throughout various periods of malfunction, shutdown and startup.
In addition, the rule will also include the addition of a work practice standard for mercury emissions, as well as monitoring, recordkeeping, reporting and testing requirements.
The agency's final action is effective as of Jan. 5, 2012.
