Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 notice in the Federal Register. The agency announced the
second round of chemicals for its Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program on Nov.
17. At the time, the agency gave a comment period ending Dec. 17. That has been
extended one month, to Jan. 18, 2011.
Companies that produce, manufacture, use, consume, work with, or import substances included on the second EDSP list should keep a close eye on the agency's testing schedule and results. Businesses likely affected include chemical manufacturers, importers and processors; pesticide, fertilizer and other agricultural chemical manufacturers; and the scientific research and development services who conduct testing of chemical substances for endocrine effects themselves.
For a full list of the chemicals the agency plans to submit to Tier 1 testing, read PE's previous coverage from November.
