The EPA will hold one of its three public hearings on its
proposed "transport rule" this Thursday in Philadelphia. The rule
would cut power plant pollution that drifts across the borders of 31 eastern
states and the District of Columbia, replacing the court-nixed Clean Air
Interstate Rule.
The hearing on August 26 in Philadelphia will be at the Radisson Plaza – Warwick Hotel. The hearing will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 8 p.m. local time, or later if necessary. The public may pre-register to speak at the hearings at a specific time. People also may register in person on the day of the hearing, but cannot be guaranteed a specific time slot.
To pre-register to speak at the hearings, e-mail Pam Long atlong.pam@epa.gov.
