Field clamp-on ultrasonic gas flowmeter

Controlotron now offers WideBeam™ ultrasonic flow measurement technology for natural and process gas. SonicGas™ field clamp-on System 1010GC is ideal for checkmetering, flow survey verification and allocation applications. The non-intrusive design improves performance and reduces maintenance expenses for 1 to 60-inch diameter gas pipelines. Typical accuracy is 0.5 to 1 percent, calibratable accuracy 0.10 to .25 percent, repeatability 0.05 percent and turndown 50 to one or better.

Gas sampling conditioning systems at EPRI meeting

Sample preparation technology from Perma Pure for CEMS, including gas dryers, filters, ammonia scrubbers and complete sampling systems were on display at the 2004 EPRI CEMS User Group Meeting last May. The friendly skies just got friendlier

Engelhard's VOC/ozone dual-function converter reduces ozone concentration in aircraft cabin environments by more than 90 percent and also removes a substantial portion of the volatile organic compounds that may enter the cabin from outside. The new technology will be installed on future deliveries of Airbus A320 airplanes to JetBlue Airways, marking the first sale of this type of technology by any manufacturer.

Test drive air analyzer

Ametek Process Instruments is offering a three-month free trial of its Thermox® WDG-IVC Combined Oxygen & Combustibles analyzers. The company hopes to show off the analyzers' reliability and speed of response to power and process boiler operators with oxygen-only, in-situ probes. Its catalytic detector displays reduced drift and increased sensitivity to low-level CO changes, while resisting SO2.

Portable 5-gas engine exhaust analyzer

The Nova Model 7465 analyzer is designed for checking O2, CO, CO2, hydrocarbons and NOX in engine exhaust emissions for gasoline, propane or natural gas powered two and four-cycle engines. A sample of exhaust gases are drawn through a flexible sample probe, hose, moisture removal system and filtered by a built-in pump. Gases are then detected on a microprocessor-based, two-channel, single-cell infrared detector.
