Near Dry Machining will be showcased in a technology forum hosted this month by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. The presentation will offer a comparison between traditional wet (flood) machining and machining using minimal quantity lubrication, or MQL, technologies, also called “Near Dry Machining” or “Micro-Fluidization.” The forum will compare the manufacture of a specific part using each of the respective technologies.
