Sentinel draws ultraviolet duty

The Sentinel™ UV disinfection system from Calgon Carbon effectively removes parasites, controlling cryptosporidium and giardia in drinking water. The system effectively handles the protozoan oocyst, Cryptosporidium parvum, a pathogenic microbe of considerable concern for drinking water applications. The Sentinel was the first product to receive verification under the EPA's ETV Package Drinking Water Treatment Systems pilot.
