Product spotlights for April 2006.

Molded Fittings for Corrosive Waste Piping

Molded 45-degree Wye fittings have been added to the company's popular Fuseal® Polypropylene Corrosive Waste Piping System and Fuseal 25/50™ PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) Corrosive Waste Piping System. The molded fittings provide smoother transitions with no internal weld beads and shorter lay lengths, offering improved performance and labor-saving installation convenience.

PILOT-OPERATED SOLENOID VALVE

The PS line of high-pressure and high-flow pilot-operated solenoid valves is now available in an extended range of sizes and materials. With PTFE bellows, seal, pressure ratings to 140 PSI and CVs to 80, the PS series was designed for water purification and chemical treatment systems. The valve is now offered in PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene, and PVDF in ½-inch through 3-inch sizes.

PC Pump with High Pressure Joint

Progressive cavity pump universal joints are now available with ratings to 360 psig. This allows the pumps to be used on applications with high suction heads, low NPSHA applications with reverse rotation, or in vertical pumps where the joints are exposed to the rated discharge pressure of the pumps. A new proprietary technology allows the joints to be hydraulically balanced and reinforced against implosion from high pressures.

Reliable Backflow Protection

The Waterflex® Check Valve features a wafer design that provides low head loss in high-pressure potable water applications. Operating solely on line pressure and backpressure, forward hydraulic pressure folds the elastomer disk away from the perforated plate to allow flow. Reverse pressure seals the disk against the perforated plate to prevent backflow.

Ultra-Capacity Control Valve

The Mark 100 globe control valve delivers higher capacity in a valves sized 6 to 16 inches, and pressure classes 150 to 600. The wide, streamlined gallery of the valve increases capacity an average of 15 percent over competing valves. This can help save costs by using a smaller valve; a 10-inch Mark 100 has a tested capacity comparable to the catalog capacity of competitors' 12-inch valves.
