The EPA on Monday, July 27, 2009, sent an information
request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), to notify the president
it intends to renew agency’s current program for controlling of acid rain,
including SOX. Barring unexpected action, the program
should receive its official sanction to continue operations by Aug. 26, 2009.
