The EPA announced on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, that it had
completed draft toxicological reviews for 1,1,2,2,-Tetrachloroethane; cis- and
trans-1,2-Dichloroethylene; and Trichloroacetic Acid for the agency's
Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS).
The agency announced a public comment period and extended peer-review workshop for both reviews. A listening session for 1,1,2,2,-Tetrachloroethane will be held on Oct.14, 2009. The one for trans-1,2,-Dichloroethylene will be held on Oct. 19, 2009, and for Trichloroacetic Acid, a listening session will be held on Nov. 4, 2009. The public comment period for all three chemicals begins Sept. 24, 2009, and ends Nov. 23, 2009. Technical comments should be in writing and must be received by the EPA by Nov. 23, 2009.
