The EPA on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, announced a public comment period for the external review draft document titled, Toxicological Review of Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether: In Support of Summary Information on the Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS).
The agency said in the Federal Register that it intends to consider comments and recommendations from the public and the expert panel meeting, which will be scheduled at a later date and announced when the EPA finalizes the draft document.
The EPA noted it is releasing this draft document solely for the purpose of pre-dissemination public review under applicable information quality guidelines. This document has not been formally disseminated by the EPA. It does not represent and should not be construed to represent any agency policy or determination.
The draft document and EPA's peer-review charge are available via on NCEA's home page under the Recent Additions and the Data and Publications menus at http://www.epa.gov/ncea.
The 60-day public comment period began Aug. 20, 2009, and ends Oct. 19, 2009. Technical comments should be in writing and must be received by the agency by that date.
