In addition, the agency is proposing NESHAPs for existing stationary compression ignition engines greater than 500 brake horsepower that are located at major sources, based on a new review of these engines following the first RICE NESHAP rulemaking in 2004. The EPA also is proposing to amend the previously promulgated regulations regarding operation of stationary reciprocating internal combustion engines during periods of startup, shutdown and malfunction.
Comments must be received on or before May 4, 2009, or 30 days after date of public hearing if later. A public hearing will be held on April 6, 2009.
