The EPA on Thursday announced several important Science
Advisory Board (SAB) meetings, which could have profound influence on the
direction of environmental regulation in the coming years. EPA Administrator
Lisa Jackson, in almost every public address so far, reiterated a commitment to
allowing science to direct policy. It is speculated that the sentiment has put
increased importance on what is said in these advisory committee meetings,
which were often ignored in the previous administration.
