A monster revolution in storm screening

The new Storm Monster is a high-performance band screen designed for installation on the pre weir side of wastewater channels or combined storm overflows. The screen's dogleg orientation allows an intermediate change in panel direction, providing increased hydraulic capacity and enhancing reliability during periods of high flow and high solids loading.

Ceramic membrane crossflow system

The Hilco® Ceramic Membrane Crossflow Filtration System uses a high-velocity fluid cross-flow across the face of the membrane to increase efficiciency. The oil-free water passes through the ceramic membrane while oily waste is concentrated in a process reservoir. It was designed to accept three different micron-rated membranes (0.2 µm, 0.01 µm and 0.005 µm) in order to meet various local discharge ordinances.

Fast loop filters

Constructed from 316L stainless steel, Fast Loop filters use axial velocity to flush heavy contaminates downstream while passing the sample through the element wall with low flow and radial velocity. Since the filter element is continuously flushed by the high flow stream, the filters can handle highly contaminated systems. Only the low flow (analyzer) stream is filtered, maximizing filter element life.

Down to one micron

With Sweco's Idustrial Treatment Services technology, applications requiring cuts down to one micron are now possible. Environmental wastewater cleanup, petrochemical applications, precipitator water cleanup, municipal sewage filtration and many other applications now require separation of particulates into such finer, more precise ranges.
