Expertise in Bioremediation of Chlorinated Organics

Bioremediation Consulting has developed several microbial cultures that simultaneously dehalogenate both chlorinated ethene and chlorinated ethane. What makes BCI’s cultures uniquely robust is our culturing method, which continuously selects and evolves strains of halorespiring bacteria that are adapted to our clients’ ground waters. We currently have such cultures growing successfully at four locations, including a Northeast Superfund site.

Multilevel Technology: 1 Concept + 2 Systems = RESULTS

A multilevel system allows the monitoring of a number of discrete groundwater zones within a single borehole. Systems typically consist of seals and ports, placed at varying depths along a casing string, effectively isolating and providing access to each monitoring interval. Waterloo and CMT Multilevel Systems provide defensible data, they minimize dilution and ambient flow, they eliminate cross contamination and much more.

Chemical Oxidation Redefined

RegenOx is an in situ chemical oxidation technology designed to treat organic contaminants, including source areas, in the saturated and vadose zone. Once in the subsurface, RegenOx produces an effective oxidation reaction comparable to that of Fenton’s Reagent without a violent exothermic reaction. RegenOx safely and effectively destroys a wide range of contaminants in both soil and groundwater.
