New biocide for water treatment
Alco Chemical has a new EPA-registered, non-oxidizing, dithiocarbomate biocide for water treatment that effectively controls planktonic and sessile microorganisms in cooling towers and air-washers. Aquatreat biocides serve most cost-effectively for controlling slime-forming bacteria and fungi in virgin and recycle mills. Plant employees in beet and cane sugar mills already use it for minimizing mesophilic and thermophilic bacteria to prevent fouling. Cyanide analysis from OI Analytical
OI Analytical's CNSolution is a high throughput system for cyanide measurement. Incorporating a single or dual channel analyzer, WinFlow software and a random access autosampler, the CNSolution uses an innovative gas diffusion ligand-exchange procedure to measure available cyanide or cyanide amenable to chlorination species in 90 seconds.
