Mergers & Acquisitions
IHS Inc., Englewood, Colo, announced the acquisition of Salt Lake City-based EnvironMax Inc., a provider of environmental management information systems, primarily to government and defense markets. Scott Specialty Gases' (Plumsteadville, Pa.) eastern regional manufacturing and laboratory facility in Plumsteadville was recently awarded ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Columbia, Md., and Groton Biosystems, Boxborough, Mass., are collaborating to interface Groton's ARS series of online sampling monitors with Shimadzu's Prominence HPLC (high performance liquid chromatograph) to form a closed-loop solution for online analysis. Hydraulic birthday
Founded Sept. 20th, 1992, SonTek/YSI, San Diego, recently celebrated 15 years of providing acoustic Doppler instrumentation, technologies and knowledge to water investigators.
