Product Focus: Spill Control and Containment

Andax Industries LLC, Immediate Response Spill Technologies and Complete Environmental Products (CEP)

Pac Your Equipment

The company’s spill control color coding system enables end users to identify a spill and respond with the best Spill Pac available. The packages hang on a “Pac Rac,” and each comes with a highly visible, 2- by 4-inch, color-coded label to be placed on machinery or equipment. Each Spill Pac contains spills up to 10 gallons and prevents larger spills from spreading.

Training Sessions Provide Spill Solutions

Recently, the company held a series of educational and training sessions (pictured) in the Caribbean to highlight the benefits of applying alternative technologies, like its solidifier CIAgent, to spills. CIAgent is a non-toxic, non-hazardous blend of petroleum-based polymers used on water or land. The dry granular powder encapsulates hydrocarbon spills through rapid transformation of liquid into a cohesive, rubber-like mass.

Oil-Only Sorbent Pads

The company’s new value-line, oil-only SuperSorb pads are perfect for small spills where extra absorption is required. The quilted, polypropylene, hi-loft pads absorb up to 25 times their weight of any petroleum-based liquid. They are incinerable, non-toxic and sold by net weight.
