David P. Ruetz has joined GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., Waukesha, Wis., as a senior environmental consultant and assistant general counsel at their Waukesha location. Ruetz’s past work as an environmental attorney representing corporate, commercial and industrial clients in a variety of environmental matters will augment GZA’s environmental consulting practice.

David P. Ruetz has joined GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., Waukesha, Wis., as a senior environmental consultant and assistant general counsel at their Waukesha location. Ruetz’s past work as an environmental attorney representing corporate, commercial and industrial clients in a variety of environmental matters will augment GZA’s environmental consulting practice. He was most recently an attorney with Whyte, Hirschboeck & Dudek in Milwaukee, where he specialized in environmental law. His experience includes 16 years of practicing law with 12 years specializing in environmental law. Ruetz was previously the president of a mid-size environmental engineering/consulting firm with two locations in Wisconsin.

Taylor

Infiltrator Systems Inc., Old Saybrook, Conn., which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, has hired Kent Taylor as a regional regulatory consultant in their Science and Government Affairs Department. In his new role, Taylor will be responsible for regulatory and technology transfer initiatives in the southern United States. Most recently, Taylor worked for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation as a division director. He was employed by the department for more than 20 years and participated in a grant proposal, which created a statewide onsite sewage training center in conjunction with the University of Tennessee and TVA. Taylor was also instrumental in creating a statewide Web-based reporting system to track on-site systems, and continued to be involved with Tennessee’s onsite experimental program.

Paxton

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. announced the appointment of Joseph E. Paxton as manager of environmental services. In this role, Paxton will be responsible for providing management services and documentation compliance with the National Environmental Protection Act for company clients. Paxton spent over three decades in environmental planning for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He managed multi-million dollar federal projects and was responsible for the development of environmental impact statements, evaluation of biological, cultural, and socio-economic conditions, and coordination with various government and municipal agencies as well as the general public.
