The nose knows

The Nasal Ranger Field Olfactometer precisely measures odor by diluting the tested air with odor-free air, providing results as dilution-to-threshold values. Several states, including Missouri, Colorado and Kentucky utilize this measurement method to regulate odors. Facilities are integrating odor monitoring with the Nasal Ranger into their environmental management systems.

Natural organic odor neutralizer

Ecosorb® is formulated to create a neutral atmosphere where malodors are removed rather than replaced with another odor. Small amounts of the odor neutralizer can banish odors from wastewater treatments plants, foundries, refineries, landfills, remediation sites, food processing plants and many other sources. The product's additives neutralize both organic and inorganic odors, are non-toxic, non-hazardous and biodegradable.

Patented activated carbon media

USFilter recently received a notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its Midas® odor control media activated carbon. Used in conventional deep bed carbon adsorber odor abatement systems to eliminate nuisance odors associated with H2S and organics, the media adsorbs odorous compounds as contaminated air passes over the carbon. It can be used in any deep bed adsorber application where virgin, impregnated or water-wash carbons are currently used.

Foam implicated in odor cover-up

As detailed in PE's February issue - available by clicking here - Rusmar's long duration foam technology provides superior long lasting odor control by forming a physical barrier at the source, no matter what the source. The company encourages those who need to temporarily cover up their stinky piles to ditch the mists. Rusmar's proven, cost effective odor control is the sign of a good neighbor.
