Qualitative fit testing made easy

Now available from Nextteq is the Gastec 9500 Smoke Tube Kit, also known as the Air Flow Indicator Kit. Designed to visually determine the directional pattern and velocity of air currents, these tubes provide a highly visible dense white smoke to meet OSHA qualitative fit test requirements per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134, Appendix A. The kit is used by directing the smoke toward the sealed surface of the respirator face piece while the wearer is undergoing a series of normal facial expressions such as smiling or talking. This lightweight and compact kit provides an economic alternative to other testing methods that may require expensive and cumbersome equipment. The Gastec smoke tubes are designed for up to 50 tests.
