Oil/petrochemical industry

The Cutlass Fixed-Angle Side-Entry Mixer offers a 10-degree fixed position that effectively handles homogenizing, blending and temperature uniformity of crude oils and refined products in storage tanks. The swivel-angle Cutlass mixer provides 60-degree rotation to effectively scour tank floors and keep sediments and solids in suspension.

Stop right there, kitchen grease

Highland Tank's Passive Grease Interceptors help restaurants comply with EPA sewer pretreatment regulations. The large volume interceptors were designed to intercept and collect large quantities of fats, oil and grease found in commercial industrial kitchens' typical solid food waste discharges. They typically come in 500, 750, 1,000 and 1,500 gallon volumes, but larger interceptors are available.

Water Maze boosts flow rate up to 50 gpm

Water Maze modified its WaterStax bioremediation wash-water treatment and recycling systems to handle flow rates of up to 50 gallons per minute and doubled the width of its hydroscreen filter. The three models of WaterStax systems use biology and filtration to remove oil, grease, hydrocarbons and grass clippings from wash water generated at golf courses and landscape or turf companies.

Rope on the water

Crucial Inc. manufactures a complete line of oleophilic mop skimmers for removing floating hydrocarbons in accidental spill or industrial water treatment applications. The skimmers are ideal for recovering high oil/water ratios in the most adverse conditions. They efficiently handle varying oil viscosities in shallow areas or open seas, and are also effective in tropical or arctic environments.

Is that a snake in the water?

The Oil Skimmers Inc. Model 6V oil recovery system removes FOGs at rates up to 100 gallons of waste oil per hour, decanting the almost completely water-free waste product into a drum. The 6V uses a closed loop collector tube that snakes over and around floating debris, adjusting automatically to changing water levels. The tube is then drawn up into the oil skimmer through scrapers that remove the oil.

Belt skimming for the toughest applications

The Grease Grabber is designed for extremely demanding applications, such as drainage pits in primary metal mills, where heavy loads of grease and oil accumulate. The rugged belt skimmer makes use of the differences in specific gravity and surface tension between oil and water to attract FOGs and other hydrocarbon liquids as the belt passes through the surface of the water.
