Non-clog, solids handling pumps

The NS Series from A-C Pump boasts the broadest hydraulic coverage in the industry, with flows up to 180,000 gpm, heads up to 300 feet, sizes up to 54 inches and solids up to 13.25 inches. The product's features include mounting arrangement flexibility, dynamic seals (as well as a variety of mechanical seals like zero flush designs), non-clog impellers, discharge position flexibility and others.

Drying systems for plants large and small

K-S biosolids drying systems are capable of handling 4 to 1,000 wet tons of cake solids per day. The dryers can be designed to use either steam or thermal fluid with heat supplied from the combustion of natural gas, digester gas, landfill gas or fuel oil. Excess heat from combustion engines or turbines can also be used to heat thermal fluid.

Heavy-duty slurry pump

Flowserve has published a new brochure describing its Titan Slurry heavy-duty, dual-case lined pump. The horizontal, single stage, end-suction pump features a tangential discharge and was engineered to handle high concentrations of coarse, abrasive solids in suspension. It features a unique dual-case design that employs an innovative replaceable liner system to maximize wear resistance.

Composite collector chain

USFilter recently obtained ANSI/NSF Standard 61 certification for its HS730 Loop Chain composite collector chain for water treatment plants. The collector chain is attached to flights that move across the bottom of a rectangular tank, collecting settled solids. The Loop Chain is specifically designed for extra-long tanks that experience higher-than-normal loading.

Lagoon process for wastewater treatment

A new treatment process for wastewater nitrification in lagoons using the company's Moving Bed® Biofilm Reactor (MBBR), the LagoonGuard™ provides a cost-effective means to upgrade a lagoon treatment system by retrofitting the existing lagoon. Biosolids processing on the go

Cemen Tech, Inc. has unveiled a fully mobile biosolids processing system. The new unit is trailer-mounted with a diesel engine providing power to the mixing and proportioning unit. It features a trailer-mounted low-profile silo that holds lime, kiln dust or ash. The system is capable of treating biosolids to either Class A or Class B standards at the push of a button.
