Drying systems for plants large and smallK-S biosolids drying systems are capable of handling 4 to 1,000 wet tons of cake solids per day. The dryers can be designed to use either steam or thermal fluid with heat supplied from the combustion of natural gas, digester gas, landfill gas or fuel oil. Excess heat from combustion engines or turbines can also be used to heat thermal fluid.
Heavy-duty slurry pumpFlowserve has published a new brochure describing its Titan Slurry heavy-duty, dual-case lined pump. The horizontal, single stage, end-suction pump features a tangential discharge and was engineered to handle high concentrations of coarse, abrasive solids in suspension. It features a unique dual-case design that employs an innovative replaceable liner system to maximize wear resistance.
Composite collector chainUSFilter recently obtained ANSI/NSF Standard 61 certification for its HS730 Loop Chain composite collector chain for water treatment plants. The collector chain is attached to flights that move across the bottom of a rectangular tank, collecting settled solids. The Loop Chain is specifically designed for extra-long tanks that experience higher-than-normal loading.

Lagoon process for wastewater treatmentA new treatment process for wastewater nitrification in lagoons using the company's Moving Bed® Biofilm Reactor (MBBR), the LagoonGuard™ provides a cost-effective means to upgrade a lagoon treatment system by retrofitting the existing lagoon. The basis of the MBBR process is the thousands of polyethylene carrier elements that provide a home for a vast, highly active bacteria culture.
