Alan Boyce, president of Moyno Inc., Springfield, Ohio, was recently appointed to the Hydraulic Institute Board. The institute is a non-profit industry trade association that serves member companies and pump users by providing product standards and a forum for the exchange of industry information. Moyno has been an active member of this organization for decades.

Tnemec Co. Inc., Kansas City, Mo., has promoted Pete Cerra to Vice President of Operations. In his new position, Cerra will oversee all company manufacturing and color operations, distribution and purchasing. Previously, Cerra has served as Director of Distribution and Purchasing, which has enabled him to gain first-hand knowledge of most functions in the operations area. His previous duties at the company have included batch making, inventory control, production planning and operations management.

Michael R. DeMeo has been appointed Business Development Manager for Eurotherm, Leesburg, Va. DeMeo has worked in various sales and management positions in the test, measurement and sensor products markets, and brings many years of senior level experience in the process automation and instrumentation field. In his new position, DeMeo will focus on directing the sales and marketing efforts for the glass industry and selected specific accounts in the Americas, and will be working closely with the company's global initiative teams.

Stormwater Management Inc., Portland, Ore. announced the addition of Tim Hagen as Filtration Media Specialist. Hagen brings over 19 years of experience in the development and enhancement of processes for pelletizing peat and other organic based materials. He will be responsible for developing new types of filtration media to enhance the company's stormwater treatment applications in addition to optimizing the production of the company's patented CSF® leaf compost media.

Karen Lee Nafzinger has been named Vice President of Marketing for Palmyra, Pa.-based Philadelphia Mixing Solutions Ltd., replacing a position previously held by David Proctor. Nafzinger will be responsible for marketing, brand development, technology acquisitions and licensing, and sales. She brings over 12 years of experience in marketing, sales and brand development and holds an MBA from St. Joseph's University.

GZA also announced that Christopher October, P.E., CHMM, has joined the Norwood office's EH&S Management Consulting Group as a Senior Project Manager. October brings more than 10 years of experience in providing a wide range of engineering and project management in both the industrial and municipal sectors. His areas of specialization include environmental regulatory compliance, health and safety compliance, stormwater management and hazardous material management.

Terry Rouse has recently been named president and CEO of WILO EMU USA LLC, Thomasville, Ga. Rouse has served as general manager of EMU for more than seven years, during which time the company's products were distributed to the U.S. marketplace through a unit of USFilter. The company is now part of the WILO Group, one of the world's leading pump manufacturers.

Michael van der Heijden was chosen by Woodard & Curran to serve as Vice President and Office Manager for the 450-person consulting firm's new White Plains, N.Y. office. The new office, located at 709 Westchester Ave., Suite L2, is the firm's ninth full-service office. Van der Heijden brings to the firm more than 18 years of experience helping municipalities, industry and real estate developers in New York with issues relating to regulatory compliance, brownfields redevelopment, transactional strategies, site investigations, and water and wastewater engineering.
