COD test method speeds results

The accu-TEST™ COD method can now be used for rapid evaluation of wastewater at low cost. COD measurements are often used to predict BOD and determine waste strength when EPA reporting is not required. The colorimeter-based test uses the EPA-accepted micro version of the Standard Methods procedure, but the standard time for digestion of the sample, two hours, can be lessened for a more rapid result.
