An Encyclopedia of Testing Equipment

Virtually overflowing with testing equipment, Hach Company's new 482-page product for analysis catalog is filled with new products like GLI on-line electrochemical instrumentation, the new OptiQuant SVI sludge volume analyzer and the AutoCAT 9000 automatic chlorine titrator. The catalog features easy to use 'quick reference guides' throughout the book to make finding a testing solution that much easier. New process flow diagrams provide the tools for understanding various processes, giving engineers an easy method for choosing the product that best fits their needs.

An Inside Look at Conflagration

Lenox Instrument's FireSight high-temperature remote viewing system is the easiest and most economical means of obtaining color video monitoring of combustion and process control in boilers, furnaces, kilns and incinerators. Capable of operating in temperatures up to 4,000°F, the FireSight system is ideal for use in power plants, steel mills, paper mills, glass plants, cement kilns and incinerators. The viewing system is used to speed light off, evaluate flame quality, determine the status of igniters and view flame impingement, NOx emissions and smoke. It's small enough to fit in existing openings in boiler tubes and wall penetrations but tough nonetheless; its quartz optics can withstand temperatures up to 1,200°F higher than competitors' glass lenses.

An Award-Winning Photoionization Sensor

The piD-TECH plug-in photoionization sensor is designed for installation in portable and stationary gas monitors that accept City Technology 4P cells. It provides complete photoionization detection capability in a package that has the same dimensional and electrical profile as these cells. This gives many gas monitors new and powerful detection capability that was previously unavailable. It opens up an incredible variety of environmental and safety applications in industrial, commercial and residential markets. Offered in two models (Black Label for 0.1 to 2000 ppm and White Label for 20 to under 0.01 ppm), the piD-TECH is virtually insensitive to humidity changes, providing unparalleled performance in many applications. The revolutionary device recently won the Bronze Best of Sensors Expo Award.
