Mixing and Diluting High Molecular Weight Polymers

Neptune Chemical's Polymaster pump dilutes, mixes and thoroughly activates emulsion, dispersion and solution polymers including new high molecular weight products. The Polymaster's patented Gatlin distribution head provides maximum polymer activation unaffected by fluctuating water pressure. Its Gatlin mixer eliminates the need for costly booster pumps, and materials are mixed and blended without blades to damage fragile polymer chains. Models are available to produce up to 50 gpm of dilute solution at concentrations from 0.1 to two percent. Standard Polymasters include manual or automatic electronic metering pumps for polymer injection; larger models use motor-driven metering pumps, gear pumps or progressing cavity pumps.

One (1) Smart Pump

The new PS Model 200 V 2.1 provides expanded simplification and functionality as compared to previous PumpSmart models. The number of parameters needed for set up and start were reduced to only seven for a single pump pressure control application and users can now start up to three fixed speed pumps simultaneously. The microprocessor-based, variable speed drive pump system is programmed specifically for centrifugal pumps up to 700hp. Continuous monitoring and reaction to both pump conditions and system demands provide users with accurate control of virtually any process parameter. The PS Model 200 V 2.1 also monitors pump wear, provides multi-pump control and boasts energy savings of 30 to 70 percent.

Ascension Filters are Raising the Bar

Self-cleaning tubular backwashing filters from the Filtration & Separation Division of Ascension Industries provide continuous-duty operation in water filtration applications requiring high flow rates with low solids loading. The tubular filters are available in manual operation or fully automatic models and can reduce maintenance costs by eliminating filter bag and cartridge costs. The filtration systems offer solids removal to one micron and flow rates to nearly 10,000 gpm. Specialty elements are available for sub-micron retention and stainless steel construction is also available. Applications can include pre-filtration for reverse osmosis filtration, treatment of incoming or outgoing plant water, resin bed protection, pump seal water, nozzle protection, white water and cooling water.
