The EPA's Science Advisory Board (SAB) has completed a review of the agency's supplemental guidance, Draft Supplemental Guidance For Assessing Cancer Susceptibility From Early-Life Exposure to Carcinogens.
The agency prepared the guidance to focus on potential risks to children, as current data supports that children face a higher risk when exposed to the same carcinogens as adults. Comprised of outside experts, the SAB was created by Congress in 1978 to provide independent advice on a scientific and technical basis for agency policies and regulations.
