Air-operated diaphragm pumps

An accessory package for ODS air-operated diaphragm pumps is designed to automatically adjust the pumps? stroke rate to meet varying flow rates of the process, and to adjust pressure to accommodate changes in the system?s head conditions as the flow is adjusted. The Fill stroke is monitored and will default to alarm if it does not achieve its assignment after five strokes. The Discharge stroke is also monitored. If it does not achieve its assignment after five attempts and increasing air pressure to the maximum allowable setting, it will default to alarm. A 4-20ma signal to the Control Center allows pump operation to be monitored. A graphic display on the keypad lets Operations see the pump?s performance parameters and make any necessary adjustments to the input data.

Dry polymer preparation

The DynaJET dry polymer preparation technology is designed to accurately meter dry polymer to a pneumatic conveyance system where the polymer is dispersed prior to wetting. The dispersed polymer then becomes completely engulfed in the wetting chamber where complete polymer-particle wetting takes place. The DynaJET systems feature a wide range of control options and various polymer storage and handling options.

Sulfate test kit

The new Sulfate Vacu-vials Test Kit (K-9203) features CHEMetrics' patented self-filling Vacu-vial ampoules, which the user simply snaps in the sample. The Sulfate Vacu-vials test method employs the barium sulfate method. Sulfate ion reacts with barium chloride in an acidic solution to form a suspension of barium sulfate crystals of uniform size. The resulting turbidity is proportional to the sulfate concentration of the sample and can be read on any spectrophotometer that accepts a 13 mm cell. CHEMetrics' reagent formulation allows uniform crystal size and stable suspensions up to 70 ppm.

Dryer/Processor

The K-S Paddle dryer/processor is an efficient, mechanically agitated, indirect heat transfer device for putting heat into or removing heat from a process mass. The heat transfer medium, steam, oil, thermal fluid or water is isolated from the process mass. Dual counter-rotating shafts with unique intermeshing wedge shape paddles produce intimate mixing and optimize heat transfer. The use of hollow paddles for heat transfer results in a compact machine. Industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants use the unit to: reduce sludge weight and disposal costs; convert sludge and waste material into stable, marketable byproducts; and remove water to increase the fuel value of sludge.

Grinder

TASKMASTER TM8500 is a rugged grinder. The unit's twin shaft mechanism uses cutter cartridges instead of standard individual cutter and spacer disks. This design gives the grinder the extra strength needed to successfully process tough materials. The unit's efficiency, dependability and low maintenance help facilitate processing, protect downstream process equipment, ensure smooth operation and save money.

Mini grinder

The Mini Monster grinder has been redesigned with a stronger motor to meet higher demands and provide greater performance and longer life. The two-shafted Mini Monster in-line grinder was originally designed as a low cost alternative for light duty wastewater solids reduction. Like its bigger brother, the Muffin Monster, the Mini can handle tough solids and sludge. The new design allows the unit to be equipped with a 3 HP (2.2kW) motor, providing added force for a wide variety of applications from buildings to pump stations to treatment plants. The flow rating of the in-line unit has also increased to 265 GPM (60m3/hr). Made in the USA.

Biomixer

Installation is accomplished in 24 hours. The unique Biomixer slowly moves up to 25-foot diameter rotating bubbling blades through your wastewater. The wastewater shears off the bubbles to create finer bubbles to improve aeration efficiency. The system automatically controls dissolved oxygen by raising and lowering the blades. The system can be totally retracted for easy maintenance.

Filtration process

MULTIWASH Filtration Process is designed for efficient operation, consistent water quality and long filter runs. The key is sustained, simultaneous air and water backwash. Cleaning performance prevents both chemical and biological fouling of the filter media, eliminating expensive chemical cleaning or media replacement. Low-profile baffles eliminate media loss while reducing depth and allowing MULTIWASH to be used in retrofit applications. Operation is easy. No draindown or multiple rates are required.
