When using CL-out or Petrox to treat a contaminated site, temporary air sparging can be used to increase dissolved oxygen (DO) found in the ground water and soil at a site. The process can be simple and efficient by adding compressed air directly to the bioremediation injection points, which are already in place. In addition to increasing the DO in the system, the compressed air will increase the distribution of the microbes in the ground water and soil. The air sparge cap can be removed between injections.
