Transmit process flow data

Control Microsystems recently added the 4102MMT high performance multivariable transmitter to its product line. This device, which includes Ethernet, a PID controller and an analog output, simultaneously measures process temperature, process pressure and differential pressure. The transmitter is ideal for installation in low power flow measurement and control applications in remote locations, or as an addressed device yielding measurement and control via an extended Ethernet network.

Non-clogging pressure transmitter

FilterSense manufactures non-clogging pressure transmitters for all types of dust collectors, baghouses and powder processes. Designed as an alternative to tube style mechanical gauges, the pressure transmitters feature a large, durable ceramic diaphragm. Both differential and static configurations are available in ranges to as low as zero to 10 inches WC.

MACT biofilters cut VOCs

Biofilter and bio-oxidation systems provide a large maintenance and operational cost savings when compared to conventional control devices like thermal oxidizers. Biofilters use no additional fuels and as a result, greatly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Systems like that installed by Bio Reaction Industries at JM Huber's new OSB mill in Broken Bow, Okla. can achieve greater than 75 percent removal of VOCs to meet the new MACT standards of 90 percent HAP removal.

Mixed flow exhaust fans

Tri-Stack™ fans can be an energy efficient solution for the problems of pollution abatement, re-entrainment and odor control. The fan systems serve as direct replacements for centrifugal exhaust fans, which are usually associated with tall, unsightly stacks. They feature lightweight, modular construction with low system pressures (typically 2 inches w.g.), low noise levels and variable air volume control.

Monitor H2 and H2S in tail gas treatment units

Ametek Process Instruments developed a process analyzer able to simultaneously measure hydrogen and H2S by engineering its Model 931 H2S analyzer to perform hydrogen analysis as well. The modified Model 931 is ideal for monitoring hydrogenation reactors that use hydrogen to convert SO2 and other unreduced sulfur compounds into H2S that is then scrubbed from the gas stream with an amine absorber system.
