Product Spotlight

Mobile PC-Based PID Meter

A new monitoring kit for measuring total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs), along with indoor air quality parameters, the DirectSense TVOC comes with a 10.6 eV PID sensor for ppb range or ppm concentration range measurement of TVOCs. Relative humidity and temperature sensors are also included. Users can mix or match up to three electrochemical gas sensors from a choice of O3, NH3, NO2, NO, SO2, H2S, HCN, ethylene oxide, oxygen, chlorine, HCl, hydrogen, arsine, CO and more.

Detect Low-Level Benzene Leaks

An economical monitoring system that detects concentrations of benzene in ppm, the Air Check EX Benzene Monitor - designed for use in Class I, Div. 1, Groups B, C and D hazardous areas - responds to low-level leaks and releases in less than 30 seconds, yet is unaffected by humidity and other environmental conditions. It is available with a measuring range of 0 to 300 ppm.

Wall-Mounted Flue Gas Analyzer

The new Optimiser is a wall-mounted flue gas analyzer that monitors stack emissions for efficient combustion of either natural gas, coke, propane, butane, light oil, or heavy oil. It works by using two separate probes to measure the temperature and oxygen content. From these measurements, it calculates the CO2 content and the process efficiency.

GC Columns for Higher Stability

Thermo has announced two new additions to its recently launched range of Trace GC columns and consumables to complement the company's GC and GC/MS instruments, the Trace TR-WaxMS and the Trace TR-1701 capillary columns. The new columns are characterized by a high temperature range and low bleed levels, leading to higher sensitivity, less need for instrument cleaning and longer column lifetimes.

Water-Based CPCs

The Model 3782 water-based condensation particle counter (CPC) is a lower-cost instrument that detects particles down to 10 nm, in concentrations less than 50,000 particles/cm3. The Model 3785 CPC is a general-purpose instrument that detects particles down to 5 nm. Model 3786 detects ultra-fine particles as small as 2.5 nm. Because they use water as the condensing fluid, the CPCs are especially useful for indoor air-quality, environmental monitoring, atmospheric and climate studies, and cleanroom monitoring.
