EPA has designed two free software applications to help water suppliers quickly create their consumer confidence reports (CCRs). They take users through all the sections of a CCR, convert lab results into “CCR units” and allow users to insert and edit EPA recommended text.
CCRWriter runs on computers that use Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me/2000/_NTv4. It is designed to help water suppliers quickly create CCRs according to the requirements for report content, format and distribution set forth in the CCR Rule [40 CFR part 141 Subpart O]. CCRiWriter is an updated and improved version of CCRWriter. It is a web-based program that allows water system operators or designated personnel to enter data and generate a CCR. See www.epa.gov/ogwdw/ccr/ccrwriter.html.
