MBR System Design Stands Alone

The DynaLift™ MBR system features a unique membrane component that is located outside of the biological reactor. These remote airlift-assisted tubular membranes make the system highly flexible and cost effective. By separating the biological and membrane systems, each process can be independently optimized, allowing both systems to perform at peak levels.

Guardian Membrane Filters

Many sample analyzers require zero liquid entrainment and demand that the sample not be altered. Guardian membrane filters provide added filtration protection beyond the coalescing range. As a wet sample enters, a porous PTFE membrane, supported by a sintered stainless steel disc, only lets gas and vapor molecules pass through, stopping all liquid and diverting it to the drain port.

Dual-Stage MBR Yields Better Effluent

A new ITT Industries system takes advantage of synergies between two ITT subsidiary companies: Sanitaire and Aquious - PCI Membrane Systems. The MBR accepts wastewater with high loadings of BOD, suspended solids and other contaminants and yields an excellent quality effluent that can be suitable for direct discharge to surface water bodies (depending on local regulations) and low-grade re-use applications.

Water Treatment System

The MegaMagnum® pre-engineered, packaged system utilizes 18-inch diameter MegaMagnum membrane elements, the world's largest spiral-wound reverse osmosis elements, to significantly reduce the cost, footprint and installation time of municipal and industrial water treatment systems. The system requires only half of the floor space compared to a rack with 8-inch membrane elements.

Quick Access Enclosure

The Rosedale QII multi-bag housing is a quick-access enclosure that has no bolts, and requires no tools for changing filter cartridges. The design incorporates a high-tech seal that seats precisely and insures against leaks. The fast-acting hand wheel allows easy operation of the clamping mechanism and eliminates the sticking of the clam.

Filtration for the Little Guy

A small ultrafiltration plant in Wyoming, provided by WesTech Engineering, is currently producing treated water with an average turbidity of 0.03 NTU, well below the EPA standard. The plant was designed to produce 140,000 gpd, with a 96-percent recovery, and minimal operator attention. With its automated integrity checks, residents and visitors can be certain their water is safe to drink.
