The Westfall Variable Head Loss Static Mixer consists of two in-line static mixers in a series: one with a fixed plate and the other pivoting to achieve a mixing range from 0.5 to 10 FPS with a head loss of 3 psi from 0.5 to 8 FPS. Unlike many fixed static mixers, the variable mixer operates over a broad range of mixing rates. Its plate design creates a combination of vortex shredding and intense shear zone turbulence.
