Advanced Technologies for Contaminated
Site Remediation
For over a decade, REGENESIS has proven
itself as a leader in the development and commercialization of technologies for
the remediation of contaminated groundwater and soil. Beginning with the Oxygen Release Compound (ORC®)
in 1994, REGENESIS pioneered injectable, controlled-release oxygen technology
for cost-effective treatment of aerobically degradable compounds such as petroleum
hydrocarbons. Today ORC and ORC Advanced® are the most
widely used, controlled-release oxygen compounds available in the remediation
marketplace.
Following the model of ORC, REGENESIS developed and
commercialized Hydrogen Release Compound
(HRC®) for the treatment of anaerobically degradable compounds
such as: tetrachloroethene, trichloroethene and dichloroethene. Shortly
thereafter the Company developed a chemical oxidant technology known as RegenOx®. RegenOx is a safe and easy to use oxidant
which rapidly destroys subsurface contaminants through robust chemical
reactions versus slower, biologically mediated processes (like ORC and HRC). Several
years later, REGENESIS released a new electron donor technology called 3D
Microemulsion (3DMe)® offering enhanced anaerobic treatment (reductive
dechlorination) with the benefits of a high-volume application, three sources
of hydrogen and a relatively low-cost. REGENESIS is focused on advancing remediation
technologies for contaminated site remediation and plans to continue its efforts
well into the future.
