Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA)-treated wood can pose potential cancer risks, particularly for children. Identifying sites for cleanup of pollutants and CCA-treated wood for proper disposal can be accomplished with a simple point-and-shoot, handheld XRF analyzer. The analyzer identifies Arsenic in soils or CCA treated wood in 2 to 3 seconds, and displays and stores confirming chemical analysis and spectrum information.
