Sludge Depth Meter
The Markland Model 602
Sludge Depth Meter can reduce energy usage by automating sludge level
detection. The meter can be used in clarifiers, tanks, inclined plate
clarifiers (Lamellas), SBRs and dissolved air flotation tanks. The company
offers free testing of materials at its plant, so clients will know whether the
meter will work for their applications before buying it.

Significantly Reduce Sludge Production
The BAS (an acronym for
“biofilm + activated sludge”) biological process was developed for wastewater
streams lacking ammonia and phosphorous for biomass growth. The process reduces
overall sludge production and provides a stable two-stage treatment system, a
combination of a biofilm stage as a pre-treatment step, followed by an activated
sludge stage. The biofilm stage is the company’s MBBR technology.

Membrane Bioreactors
PURON submerged modules
are the latest in MBR technology anduse a single header design with hollow
fibers fixed only at the bottom. The fibers have an internal braid providing
mechanical strength, and are sealed at the top, making them less susceptible to
clogging. The systems offer low energy use, stable filtration and low chemical
consumption.
