The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, issued a call for abstracts for their Second International Greenhouse Gas Measurement Symposium, to be held Sept. 8-10, 2010, in Washington, D.C. The symposium will address greenhouse gas (GHG) measurement issues and their role in existing and future policies.

A&WMA is seeking abstracts for presentations on GHG measurement programs, including, but not limited to:
  • Measurement data based modeling: bottom up and top down
  • Bottom up measurements
  • Fugitive GHG emission measurements at the source level (from industrial and agricultural sources)
  • GHG emission monitoring from stacks
  • Top down measurements: the state-of-the-art global GHG monitoring system
  • Monitoring CO2 emission from sequestration activities
  • Monitoring and integrating measurement data at regional scale
