On Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, EPA Assistant Administrators Cynthia Giles and Mathy Stanislaus, along with other senior officials, took part in an opening dialogue with the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC), to discuss environmental justice issues.
According to a news report in a Houston blog, EPA enforcement staffers at the meeting noted they "feel like we can do our jobs now," and asked to be challenged to reform.
What changes may come from this to environmental enforcement policies and operations are unclear.
